Hello and welcome. Please meet: Scarlett, my new design. I am so very thrilled at how wonderful she turned out. What a wonderful piece for Valentine's Day.

And when Valentine's is over, you still have a magnificant set to display all year long. Exactly as the text on the box indicates: " To have & to hold, forever & always ".
And I was very lucky to have found a perfect matching background: a music sheet by Ludwig von Beethoven called: Ich liebe dich - I love thee - люблю тебя.

Scarlett wears a handknitted pullover with puff short sleeves and a navy collar with a vintage bow. Both aged for definition. She weares a handknitted barret that I have designed for her and on top a vintage covered button. It was my first barret ever and it turned out wonderful. Scarlett's marine skirt is made of cotton with pleaters with a hand dyed red ribbon trim, then aged for definition.

I gave Scarlett a Tree of Love. The heart is made of woolfelt, trimmed with a piece of cotton lace, a vintage heart pendant and a letter S of course! The heart is trimmed with an aged vintage ribbon.
The stamen is made of a piece of "Cornus Winter Beauty" because of its fabulous red colour. I made a little wreath from a bunch of thin twigs. As a finishing touch: a little red rose that dangles from a small piece of twig.

Scarlett's beautiful box is hand painted with a new paint technique that I have just discovered. It is wonderfully distressed and then aged for definition to look like a very old box which could be found in the attic of your grandma.

I made a cross stitched ribbon around the box with lovely berries and leaves in very old colors and then aged.

The text on the box will speak for itself. You can used the box as a keepsake box for your TO HAVE & TO HOLD - FOREVER & ALWAYS treasures. I hope you like the box.

The pictures above and below show that you can pose Scarlett in various ways and she is able to stand alone without any help.

Believe me when I say I live by precision and excellence when it comes to soft sculpture art. The complete ensemble and everything else that you see is handmade. All my work is created with deep love and passion.
From the bottom of my heart I can say that it was a beautiful process to bring Scarlett to life. And not only her, but also her rusty wagon with the "LOVE tree" and the unique keepsake box as well. I discovered new techniques which allow me to more creatieve in my work.

I take a lot of pride in my work and spend hours upon hours to give them their own personality, details, lovely designed clothes and accessoiries. It is what I call pure artistic love. The words that I have printed on the label express the deep love and passion that I felt during the creation of this unique piece. I hope that the new owner feels the same way....
